For our Young Women's New Beginnings the theme was "It's a Jungle Out There" so we had some fun with it. Because it is "a jungle out there" and young people are bombarded by so much right now, the general Young Women's/Young Men's Theme for 2010 comes from the Old Testament - Joshua 1:9 - "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
So I HAD to make a snake cake* and monkey cupcakes* to go along with our jungle. Okay, so the snake is supposed to be longer, like double of what it is, but again, that whole time thing. I do have to point out that the snakes stripes are the colors of the Young Women's values because I don't think anyone noticed, so I need some validation for being crazy and picking through bags of M&M's and Skittles to get the right colors.
and Lacey Fay, another one of my very talented and creative friends, was at the church until like 10PM making our jungle - she added lots of animals later, but I forgot to take a picture -

It all turned out so cute! I am glad you posted pictures because I never got a chance to peek my head in and check it out. Way cute! You ladies are so creative!
