Feels like home...

Back at the end of October we ventured on what we thought would be a four day (few weeks at longest) project. We decided to put in laminate hardwood flooring on our entire main level and tile the laundry room and upstairs bathrooms. So once you stop laughing about how grossly we underestimated this project take a look at how beautiful it came out.

Before
Okay, I need to point out that the cheap-o laminate stickers that were once called our floor were being pulled up by my then one year old. If I had known that would be Steve's breaking point I would have had the kids pulling it up years ago.

After...BEAUTIFUL!
The last board! Can you see the relief in this man's eyes?

Here's a little glimpse at the tile project. I don't have any finished photos, so these will have to do.

Putting the kids to work pulling up all of the separators.
I love my husband! He did an amazing job and I am so grateful that he is handy and is willing to make our house a home. I know it's funny, but I really didn't feel like this house was our home yet. I don't know if it was the unknown as to how long we would live here, or if it was the fact that I absolutely despised (for lack of a stronger word) the old floor, but in the end the result was amazing and I have to thank Mr. Incredible for a job well done and also thank all of our peeps who helped us out. Truely, we are in your debt!

We're waiting until we can do stuff here (estate issues), and until then, I look at other people's houses:)
