Christmas!

Okay - back to catch up!

On a personal note, it was especially hard being away at Christmas this year. We had big events happening back home and I was really missing our Utah home. Mr. Incredible was born on Mom & Dad Goates' Anniversary (13 children, it was bound to happen :o), December 19th, which they celebrated 40 years of marriage this year. I know, WOW! Our amazing sister Shauna (and many others) coordinated a big open house for our entire family and it was really hard to be away. With that came an overwhelming sense of my Savior and my dependance on Him and my Heavenly Father and ultimately what Christmas is about. I also had the opportunity to plan several lessons that helped me to remember my Savior, Jesus Christ, His birth, His life and His sacrifice for me personally. How grateful I am for that knowledge.

So with that, we had a wonderful little Christmas here with our little family. Santa knew "exactly what I wanted" as Sweet Pea would say and everyone was happy. Our biggest surprise (even for me) was this...

*I have this great video that shows Jenna reaction as I read this, but blogger is being, well blogger, and won't let me upload the video. Seriously, I have been trying for a week!

Mr. Incredible strikes again! He gave us the happiest place on earth (you know, Disney World!) for Christmas, and we were leaving in three weeks (whew!) We had talked about going before the baby came just because I would rather have him in than out while we take that kind of trip, but we just couldn't seem to swing it financially. Then, apparently, a few days before Christmas Mr. Incredible was snooping around and found a screaming deal on airfare to Orlando and our condo was available, so cheap airfare, free condo - why not? So more to come on that... in the meantime here are a few pics from Christmas morning -

Here's B-Man with new tool table

Sara has become very "maternal" and has loved baby dolls. Santa got the message so she got her very own baby doll and stroller.

So here is Mr. Incredible in all his morning glory. I show you this because of the awesome wrapping paper that Santa's elf found... "A Christmas Story". Mom Goates swears that Steve looked exactly like Ralphy as a little boy (minus the awesome glasses) so it was very fitting.

See the resemblance?
