I want to wish my wonderful husband a Happy Birthday. Can I just tell you how grateful I am for him in my life? I tell him all the time that the reason he was born was solely for me. I know that sounds really selfish, but it is so true. He is so part of who I am and without him I am not sure where my life would have ended up. He really is Superman (he even has the scars to prove it) Steve keeps me grounded and sane, all the while providing a wonderful life for me and our children. Speaking of children...this man is an amazing father. I chuckled to myself when I heard him screaming, playing and running around with his kids in the basement, they absolutely adore him. I am sure partly because he's kind of one of them, but mostly they know how much he loves them. I guess that's why we were blessed to have children in our lives so that we could "be as little children" and Steve is definitely taking care of that commandment.
I luff you Stephen Phillip Goates and how grateful I am that you have had the patience to put up with me and my antics for nearly 10 years! (okay so more like 20, but who's counting?) Happy Birthday!!
I was confused about the Superman comment. . . let's see, scars to prove it? Oh yeah, now I remember -- the kid who thought he could fly off a stack of lumber in the garage onto the concrete garage floor, yeah, that one. . . We love you Clark Kent!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Steve-O! You did luck out with that one. . . he's a keeper!
