FLORIDA - Day 5 (1/26) - Animal Kingdom

Last Day! I know you are all pretty tired of the FL trip, so sorry about the Orlando marathon.

Last stop, Animal Kingdom. If we had to do it all over again, I am not sure we would go back there again or if we would choose another one of the parks, especially since we had such limited time on our trip. I don't know, it may have been the fact we were all pretty worn out by that time. We may have enjoyed it more if we had more energy.

We did have a great time and there were some highlights of day for sure.

Definitely the highlight of the park was the Kilimanjaro Safari. We are in an open-sided truck so it feels like a real safari and everything.

According to our "guide" it is very rare to see a giraffe laying down, so that was pretty cool.

We had to stop for like 5 minutes to wait for this white rhino to cross the street. I wish I had some clever joke about a rhino crossing the street, but I got nothin.

All B-Man wanted to see was the lions, but since they were sleeping and you really couldn't see then on the safari, he settled for the tigers

Mr Incredible and his sidekicks

We were waiting in line for the "Finding Nemo" show and there was a family from Brazil waiting behind us. These two little Brazilian girls were FASCINATED with Muffin. They spoke impeccable English and kept saying how beautiful she was and how they never get to see children with blue eyes and blond hair.

The only picture we have from the Nemo show. We have more of it on the video camera, so if I get ambitious enough I may try to transfer it over. It was really cute show and the props and puppets were amazing.

I had to throw this in there - just to see if you were really paying attention. So my baby boy used the urinals! This is where B-Man spent about 1/4 of his time while at the Animal Kingdom. I think that's why we didn't get to see a lot too, because we were constantly chasing down a bathroom for this boy. Which in his defense is very rare, he has the bladder control and liquid tolerance of a camel, so I am not sure what his deal was this day.

AHHHH - the highlight of the day for Mr. Incredible and me. Benihana's! I L-O-V-E Benihana's, I do not love my three kids at Behihana's. I will give them a pass though, it had been a long day and they were as good as you could have expected. Sweet Pea was brave and even ate with her chopsticks, which is more than I can say for myself, I have no patience when the food is that good.

That's it! Yay for Disney - we'll see you in another 5 years!

  1. I love your Orlando blog marathon! It looks like you had a trip of a lifetime...one last hurrah before baby boy Goates (#2) is born. And, by the way, I know you, and you totally could have come up with a rhino crossing the street joke. :)
