Da Dells...

I really didn't mean for my last post to be a three week teaser, but life happens. We are all finally healthy, I think at least physically. If Bryson's molars would come through we would all be much happier.

Anywho, we did take our little trip to the Wisonsin Dells a few weeks back. Despite the oncomings of the colds we really had a lot of fun. I will admit that even after the car was packed and we were getting the kids in the car, I didn't want to go. I wanted to stay home and work on projects/cleaning and just get all of the stuff done that I would like to in the house. Of course, hubby being the ever-so-old-and-wise pulled out "thekidswontrememberthehousebeingclean, BUT theywillrememberhowmuchfunwehad!" I stopped complaining and tried really hard not to think about how much work it is to go on "vacation."

We went bowling, to the Science Museum, and of course the indoor waterpark and theme park (Mt. Olympus). The kids had a great time and so did I, despite my attitude problem before we left. Steve was super-dad as always, lots of fun!

  1. I had trouble viewing the slideshow, but from your description sounds like everyone had a great time! Everyone needs a little getaway now and then...and yes, there will always be housework calling, but now that you're back and healthy, here's to some spring cleaning =) *LOL*

  2. You have such a cute little family....and Steve is right, those memories last forever...now our kids are older, it has been fun to reminisce about "those memories" we laugh and cry...and some I don't remember at all (selective memories really help when the kids start on "remember when mom ....." LOL)the kids can be ruthless when it comes to some "memories" but I wouldn't give it up for ANY clean house now....have fun with your family....enjoy those moments..

  4. I don't know, I think I want my kids to remember how hard it is keeping the house clean all by themselves, without mom doing it all for them. Although our trip to the Dells was fun, too. Our condo was so stinkin' clean, now I can tell my kids, "If we walked into that condo and it looked like this (pointing to random messy area), would you have thought it was clean?"

That's good parenting, my friend. Guilt.

  5. Holy cow, that was a three week teaser...welcome back to the blogging world my friend, I missed you! looks like you had tons of fun, and you are right, Steve is Super Dad. So is Joseph, maybe that is why they get along so well (nothing to do with other stuff like mtn biking, etc). But, in my opinion, you are SUPER-DUPER mom! I am so glad that you got a well-deserved vacation complete with darling kids and fun memories. even if your house was a mess... ;)
